My pica during run in clock mileage of 250km using up 1/2 tank. Using Esso92, not more than 3rpm / 90km/h. Everything thing is orginal from kia......so FC is good or bad... ?

My FC for the previous pump hit only 250km...bt used to to hit 300km when 1/2 tank.... drive normally oso...think most properly hitting too many traffic lights....stop n go too often causes FC to suffer

My manual normally hit 300 for 1/2 tanks and full tank normally hit abt 480-510 km.

Fuel indicator are approximate indication of the fuel content only. However, the half mark (exactly, when it first hit the mark) are accurate. some vehicle it stay there for 100km and refused to move downward, when move suddenly move down to near empty. so to make sure it is the actual half mark when it first hit exactly half, that shd be the reading for half. Full (most over the mark), half and empty(reserved) are considered accurate the rest very in consistent.
So if your half mark is already there for sometimes, might not be so, if it just hit and the mileage is 250, very good FC for auto. the best way is still to top up to full and measure fuel verses milage over a few top up.

Mi also not very good, get about 230 to 250 at 1/2 tank & 400 to 420 at light-up tank.

Honestly, I've no idea what is the importance of comparing how much mileage you had clocked at 3/4 or 1/2 or 1/4 mark, since it really depends on:
1. how much petrol you managed to squeeze into a full tank when you top up, and 2. it's a fact that all our petrol indicators will be different (due to process of manufacturing) from each other and hence the readings.
If you all want to compare FC, try putting into a common form of measurement, e.g.: mileage (km) per litre.
I managed to clocked "only" 220km at 1/2 mark, but I'm able to achieve an FC of average > 16km/l and close to 17km/l.
Travelled about 430km "only" on full tank and needed 26litre of petrol to make my tank really full again. FC = 430km/26 = 16.5km/l

At low fuel light up, mine also around 26L. means got 9 L as reserved can last for about 140km b4 really dry assumed a safe Fc of 15.5.

hello all....my pica clock 410km.....when light come out.........weny to top up full tank.....total pump in 30l......so work out around 13.5km/l....so i guess the FC will degrade futher cause now is still run in...i haven even drag the engine yet.......

such measurements are only 85% accurate ... controlling your right foot is the crucial step in maintaining a good fc...

Guys, lets not look at 1/2 mark. Get the calculation right on a full tank refill to get the correct FC.
Calculate based on total milleage used for the tank divided by total amt of fuel refilled. Eg 400/28= 14.29

I would use the total distance covered / the amt of fuel refilled as well as.
Currently managed to hit around 14km/lit. But will be doing a tabulation for a few refills and get an average. The FC will only just be a approx.
I only use the 1/2 tank mark as rough guide to how much distance I should have already clock. Btw my ride is auto just got it two weeks ago.

I tink auto avg FC is bout 12-14Km. sometimes it may go up to 15-16km, but end of the day... ... it depends alot on ur right foot... ...

Hi all...i pump in 95 for 2nd tank......clock 360km at the 1/8 mark and i went to top up petrol liao....pump in 28l.....so work out to be 12.8km/L....the FC getting lesser as i think it will get lesser and lesser as now my right foot getting heavier...hee hee...

One refill of petrol is not sufficient to indicate actual FC. A few fill-up is required to measure it more accurately.

yeah fc always varies so calculate the average with more full tanks will be ideal..

hmmm... how much mileage are you all able to clock from each stage of: full mark to 3/4, 3/4 to half, half to 1/4, and 1/4 to light up?
i always use it as a quick guage of my FC from time to time.
my mileage for each stage is about 100km. which also explains how i reach my total mileage of 430km+ (4 stages of 100km each, plus 30km+ bcos from brim full to full mark, i usually travel 20km-50km depending how much petrol was squeezed in).
this method tells me about my FC and my driving style quite accurately and quickly and i dont hv to wait till tank is almost empty.
