Brought a camera along but didn't take a single photo Things to do: 1) Mahkota Parade (Shopping Mall) 2) Pahlawan Megamall (Shopping Mall) 3) The historical sites around Pahlawan Megamall 4) Jonker Walk - Nite market + nostalgic coffee shops + a few pubs 5) Discos - I was told near Mahkota Hotel area. Hi Bernard, As i am going up too somewhere in chinese new year. Can i know the hotel that you stay in @ Renaissance Hotel, how is it? 5 star and price? Also where did you park your ride over the night? wonder is it safe? Thanks Renaissance Hotel - www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mkzrn-renaissance-melaka-hotel/I booked from www.ratestogo.com you can also book direct on the hotel website. I would say its about 4 star, they had given me a room where a bride was to be picked up by the groom the next morning. I deduct points from the hotel for that!!! As i was woken up by the noise they generated from the games they were playing along the corridor. The hotel has secure sheltered parking, there is a guard at the entry and I parked at a lot in direct sight on the guard. However, how secure I believe will be up to the guard. BTW, if you intend to stay out late at nite, its advisable to drive, most cabs will be off the street(off for the day) from 10pm onwards. When I left Jonker Walk at 12:30am(pass midnite) there wasn't a single cab around. Bernard
