Hi fellow Picanto drivers. Realised my rear windscreen brake light is faulty. Is it possible to DIY bulb replacement? What light bulb to use and where to buy?

yes it is possible.
to get access to the bulb, simply slide out the grey cover. need a little bit of wrist strength.
next, remove bulb and go to the autobacs (or whichever car workshop), and ask for the same bulb.
i went to autobacs and paid $10 for the replacement. and then fixed the new bulb at the autobacs parking area.

Great info. Would it cost the same for the reverse light? I need to replace one side.

3 RM is cheap. Unfortunately I have never been to JB workshops, not familiar with the traffic and place there. Btw, for headlight, is there 2 bulbs in one side of the head light? Right hand headlight just blown, however when I trigger the high beam, it lights up. kind of puzzled now.

I just replace the light bulb. Quite easy to change, no tools needed. Bought a light bulb from a small shop along Defu lane, cost me only $1.50 for 1 bulb this morning and replaced it right on the spot. Finally problem solved.

One for high beam and one for the main beam. So even if 1 blows the other may still work. If you compare it to other bulbs you will notice that the base of the bulb looks different in that it has 3 contacts.1 for ground, 1 for main beam, 1 for high beam.
