Hi please help.
I have a Kia Cerato 2006 Auto 1.6 HB Recently I realise that my car starts to jerk when my RPM is around 3000-4000. Whenever I accelerate gradually and the RPM starts to rise to between 3000-4000 the car will start to jerk and the RPM will drop to 1000-2000 and the car will be jerking as the RPM keeps on up and down in between the 2000-4000 RPM mark. This happen almost bout 20-30 % of the time but sometimes it's ok. When I reach the top gear and cruising at above 80-90 Km this problem doesn't happen. Sometimes when stopping the engine will stall. When I engage the Neutral gear and rev my engine the same thing happens sometimes even thoug I have not engaged the gear. What could my problem be? I have already replaced the spark plugs but the problem still persist. Sometimes when the engine stall it's hard to start the engine. I will need to be cranking the engine for like 4-5 times before its able to start.

You have transmission problem. The gearbox needs looking into. Better do it fast!

And monitor from there.

Actually went out to buy an OBD2 Bluetooth. Got the error code as P0336. Something bout crankshaft sensor. Can please advice how much roughly will be the cost of repair? We have actually communicated on our Facebook page but for the benefit of the Bros and Sis here, I shall state a detail here. P0336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance The CKPS is not reading too well. It could be the sensor that is not working well. When the sensor stops working, the engine cannot run. It could be the Timing belt slipped, this could be due to the belt is worn or the tensioner is not strong enough. This has the hint of the belt going to give way and it is very dangerous and costly. Suggest to get it checked asap. Thanks Joey Lim
