Hi Folks - Need your advise, I need to change below parts for Kia picanto (7 years old) as per Car serving feedback. Please suggest best options to check / recheck and best places to shop if really needed to change.
1. car brake rear cyl pump - quoted 160 for both (not sure how he decided it needs a change) 2. Battery (Quoted 120 SGD, only 1 year and 3 months old, should i change?) 3. Aircon filter (Quoted 25 SGD) 4. Back Wiper blade - 15 SGD - i need to change, pls recomend places to buy

Hi bro,
1. Brake is the most important parts of the car, but at the same time u must ask yourself does your current brake still effective, if yes, you might want to reconsider to change it later. I change my rear brake cyl at C&C for $200plus. I think you price should be alright.
2. Battery will depend on your current lowest voltage. If I not wrong, voltage less than 8.0 can change liao. But the price abit expensive. I gotten my dry cell amaron batt at $70 or $80 at arrow tyre northstar.

Hi,
You should ask the mechanic why a change is needed. If it's leaking, definitely have to change. Battery typically last 1.5 to 2 years for me, depending on how you or the previous owner utilise the ride.

I bot my rear brake cyl at 30 each, excluding gst. Battery to replace if below 10v or if alarm react differently. Aircon filter, throw long ago...

i also bought my rear brake cyl pump at $30/piece w/o GST... both $60+ Battery ard $100... mine used for 3yrs still gd... Aircon filter should be cheaper den $25...
Search online.. afew dealers selling parts.

I believe the guys above are buying from stockist min ghee 8 Jalan Lembah Kallang . And either they change themself or bring to workshop pay labour.

Should have read this thread earlier. Just had 2 rear brake pump replaced at workshop, was charged $160 for parts and labour...haiz...
