Hi Guys, Is it a radiator leak? Only discovered yesterday when i was topping up water to the reserve. Today i had to top up the reserve again. Variant 2 with 146k km I was checking thoroughly just now but couldn't find the leak & the floor underneath is not puddled with water.

i think this is serious. the oil on my finger is from the sponge right below which acts as a cushion to the radiator

this white color things seems like oil and water had been mixed together. check your radiator cap to see whether any milky substance in it and check the engine oil level too. make your way to your trusted workshops for diagnose and get it replace fast. if really the collant and oil had been mixed, you might need to do a top overhaul as the engine block and engine head might have been warp and mixture from there is highly possible.
things you might need to replace if really that is the case: 1.) top overhaul set 2.) timing set 3.) radiator assembly 4.) engine oil and oil filter 5.) coolant 6.) spark plugs 7.) cam cover gasket with plugs seals 8.) yours seems to be auto transmission, (auto oil might be affected too) 9.) A/C belt, power steering belt and Alternator belt.
Mostly all these need to replace.

its the top plastic of the radiator that is leaking. was quoted $220 just to change the top + labour 3-4 hrs work. Ming Ghee sells the whole radiator for $230 1-2 hrs work & labour is $90. Is it easy to change the radiator? If its not complex I would rather do it on my own. The long weekend is here, got a lot of time.

It should be top radiator mounting cracked and leak liaoz.. mine too happen the same but i did not notice and my car overheated. In the end after changing the top radiator mounting and found out that throttle body gasket damage liao and end up doing top overhaul. Total damage about 2.3k for top overhaul. If only top radiator mounting change only about $300.

Sorry.. typo error. Should be head gasket instead of throttle body gasket.

mine was cracked at the side of the top plastic. Was quoted $260 to change the top plastic. I went to ming ghee & bought the radiator for $230 + $18 for coolant & $35 for ATF. Changed it myself, tedious job! took me 4 hrs. prepared myself with a couple of youtube videos. You will need to top up just a little ATF oil cause there are 2 tubes from the ATF transmission to the radiator.

Btw, i have the old radiator up for sale. The top plastic was the culprit so i had that removed. The top plastic is sold separately. you can get it from most of the auto shops. I have cleaned with running water & there is no leak. I will post the pictures up shortly.
