Hi everyone,
would like to know more information as currently I have done my servicing regularly but I met up with this problem 4-6 months back where I have been topping up engine oil every 2-3weeks once my engine light goes on.. have been to couple of workshops, done on:
engine seal (they open my engine, able to see the insides and change the seal) spark cables bottom engine seal (sorry if I mention wrongly)
total cost me quite a lot of money and still problem not solved.... hope anybody can help me?
(sorry if my explanation is bad, I super layman)
thank you!!!!

engine light come up can mean alot of stuff... engine oil cap no tighten, fuel cap not tighten, TPS ( throttle positioning sensor) error ( which happens to mine).. O2 sensor error... did they use a device to check on the error??

Engine Oil consumption comes two ways: External leakage and Internal burn off.
What you have mentioned is that Rocker Cover Gasket, Spark Plug Oil Seals and Oil Sump being repaired. If you still see oil on the exterior of the engine, that means there is still leak somewhere. If not, you are in bigger trouble: Internal burn off. You may need an overhaul.

1. Remove spark plug to see if any burned oil coating. 2. Open radistor cap when engine is COOL to see coolant colour. 3. Lift car with jack, using torch light, see if any oil stain below. Make sure you see every part visible from below.
Take some photos to share and you may get your answer from someone here.

Hi everyone, sorry for the long wait, went back to reservice I have checked out with my workshop and found out that there are actually 2 seals (near the belt area) that is leaking, therefore causing the belt to sometimes make this squeaking sound in the morning.. the workshop uncle was saying that picanto has a lot of seals, unlike other cars.. hm.. well hopefully I can drive another 3 years till scrap! last but not least I need help in my locking system as currently I have 3 doors(2 back 1 front) that are not working, any where to get the lock gun(that's what they call it)? thanks guys for your help!

If it is internal burn off means, must be the piston rings time to change them facing the same problem currently...

If no severe eng mod done doubt internal burn off possible unless really unlucky.
