have to confirm with the tyre shop ... 185/55 mostly used with 14" aftermarket rims ... stock 14" tyre is 165/60 but tyre choices are limited for this size

185/55R14 is not for comfort and can be more noisier too.
Sidewall at least 60 is more for comfort.
For 165/60R14 and 175/60R14, choices are limited and usually have to pre order first.
If you really prefer comfort tyre and don't mind the look. You can try 175/65R14. However, you still need to check if your rims can fit in.
There are a few pica on this this size too and I am also using for nearly a year - MX2

Personally, my first tyres are 195/45R15 Falken made in japan. Very stable but very noisy. currently using 175/50R15 Nexus Korean Made. Quite ok too. I still not sure to change back to 195/45 or 175/50, any advice?

I am currently using 165/50/R15 falken tires with aftermarket 15" rims. But i really wanna change my rims and my tyres in a set. I went to ask for quotation at a shop at upper thomson before mandai there and they quote me $780 for 15" black sports rims and 175/50/R15 falken tyres. I still find that it is not the most ideal choice. Anyone got any good lobang for like a set, rims and tyres change. Hoping for 2nd hand but if no choice i dun mind gg for first hand. i need quotation too! Best is tyre shops that bros have been to before! easier to communicate with the shop owner! cheers! Johnathon Daohuey #262 can try AL tyres at Paya Lebar ... got my new set of 15" rims and tyres at $700 (after trade-in my old set of 15" rims and tyres), not the cheapest, i believe
