You should use those premixed coolant or concentrated coolant with distiller water. Tap water contains minerals which could cost corrosion in your radiator system. With tap water, I'm not sure what's the boiling point under pressure but coolant normally have a higher boiling point.
Have you found out why the radiator was empty? Did you make a trip to NSHW?

nshw is what? a workshop which u frequent? No lah. North South Highway. I made a trip to Genting few months ago. Also found my coolant tank nearly empty after returning to SG. I tried finding sources of leak but couldn't find it. I even sent it for a pressure leak test but no findings too. So I guess this may happen to you too.

I check e radiator cap still full, overflow when I open. reeserve tank empty. should I do a flush again? Reserve tank empty is ok as long the radiator inside got coolant and its full, please do take note that every 2 weeks or 3 weeks need to top up the coolant with those you can buy off the shelves at petrol kiosks. dun be alarmed, reserve tank will go empty one, something like evaporation and its not leaking. do a test to see after one week driving normally, you will still need to top up at least 100ml or so. below car when parked, no leaks and you are safe if you have a water temp gauge, better still, water temp should not exceed 95 degrees celcius. Usually in the range of 90 deg c for normal driving and probably ard 100 for super hard driving at 140 - 150 kmh on NSHW. if budget allows, get a 3 fin alu radiator, confirm your car cool cool, need to find space to mound and bumper need to cut abit

Throw the reserve container away. No more problem. cannot throw away! turn it into an oil catch tank lol! u all very funny sia ... check the coolant level every 2 weeks or so ... if u only check once every 6 months and if the radiator really leak, confirm no hope liao ... somemore, our picanto dun have temp gauge, so cannot monitor and won't know overheat until the warning light come on normal tap water is not recommended, use distilled water or premixed coolant to top up

i buy new bottle coolant (blue colour type). when reserve tank now like going empty, i will pour half the blue to another bottle and mix with another half of tap water and pour into the tank.
the other half blue i keep itself store-room for another standby. Swee bo!!!
