"There are a few variables when it comes to battery life. Weather is a big one. If you live in a climate that has severe hot or cold temperatures it shortens the life span. A normal span of a car battery life is 3 years.

hi guys,
recently i notice that my battery is going flat if i leave my weekend picanto for few days. one mech suggested that its a parasitic drain. I changed my central lock from spy to a very basic lock/unlock...still my battery die on me within few weeks of changing. now finally switched to amaron but scared that there is still something draining my battery. any suggestions on a good workshop which can check and solve this??

There are several factors to consider when talk about average life span of a car battery. Weather is a big variable. If you live in a climate that has severe hot or cold temperatures it shortens the life span. I live in the Midwest and change my batteries every 3 years. This is one of those better safe than sorry.

If your car doesnt need to start on weekdays, disconnect battery. Disconnecting battery will affect your engine management and control setting, not to mention disarming your car alarm as well, unless your car alarm run on external battery.

Disconnecting battery will affect your engine management and control setting, not to mention disarming your car alarm as well, unless your car alarm run on external battery. I personally doesnt need car battery power to store audio sound tuning settings. All engine management system doesnt require car battery power to keep their settings as well. Car can be manually locked.

Hi guys, just to share the cost of the Amaron car batt I change at arrow. For Picanto is only $80 free installation. Cheap and good my car previous batt also the same brand, lasted for 2.5 yrs and still healthy. But I change it cos I think it old .
