I saw many thread about wear and tear for picanto parts after a period of time.
Here's mine which I start to worry.
On Thursday, my picanto at cruising speed of 95/h suddenly jerked and cause my car to slow down, tried stepping the petal but it did need to floor a lot as it does not gain speed as fast as preciously.
Manage to reach home with that problem. Change to reverse mode for parking, it jerk again . When the engine is switch off and switch on again , the problem does not happen again.
Thursday evening it happen again after 30 mins plus of smooth riding . Same problem occur but when I switch off my engine and start again. The problem is gone .
Friday, drive the whole day at intervals but did not have the problem whole day. Just this evening (sat) when I was heading back home cruising at 75km/h it jerk and my pica is losing speed. Reverse when parking had the jerking effect again.
My car jus done minor servicing , Batt and spark plug change less than 2 weeks.
Is it my ecu have problem or my gearbox sensor may have problem ? As the technician whom service my car say there is no problem which he can determine .
Do u have ecu reader to detect the error ?
My car is picanto 08 (auto) kindly advice .

I will need to scan the ecu and do a thorough check. I do have some idea of the problem and will let you know upon confirmation.

Just read that your fault is checked to be AT Solenoid. Most of the time when the Solenoid gave way, the clutches has also worn off quite a bit. Therefore changing the Solenoid alone may work only for a short time and you may end up overhauling the Transmission again. If you still would like to try this method, I am able to help you and the cost shouldn't be too high. Who knows you may be the lucky one and the Tranny works smoothly ever after. Your diagnostic fee will be waive (absorbed into the repair cost too). Thanks

I think your gear box is having issues. When you drive on cruise control and you go up a hill it has to change the gear and that could have messed with. Also you are having troubles in reverse with your Picanto. Check it out as soon as you can.
