it's for folding mirrors. after u off ur engine, u can press anytime to extend the mirror or close the mirror.

If you want to have manual control and do drifting, you have to off the traction. Traction actually is Computer aided system common in new cars, when it thinks your torque do not match the road conditions it adjust to have your car regain traction on the road.
