Hi guys, I'm new here.. Just bought my kia cerato v2 a year ago. Now I'm having problems with my brake. The issue is when I step on the brake, it doesn't really brake. I need to step further in for the car to brake. Have check with my mechanic and first thought it was due to brake pump leak. But after replacing it, the brake still doesn't really work.. After further investigation, the root cause could be the brake booster.. Need some help here to where I should get that booster. One agent selling at $600.

Brake booster is master brake cylinder?
Last time the brake is already like that or recently.
You better goto another workshop for 2nd opinion.
I am not so sure how much is your standard of brake pressure you applied, but cerato braking power is V2 is kinda spongy. Need to depress more.
I driving an auto and the braking system is nowhere compare with other car made.
Check rotor, brake fluid and brake pad.
V2 stock parts you can goto Ming Ghee.

My 05 cerato recently also encountered brake problem. When stepping on brake, the brake suddenly feel "soft". The braking is not as effective as before. Send for check and was told master brake pump faulty. Had it replace for $350. Is the price ok?
