Picanto AT 1.1 is 3rpm at 100km/hr. so 2.5-2.8rpm for 1.6L should be reasonable?

hi, i guess it's all about the same for all cars. Auto cars will hit ard 2.5-2.8k rpm for speed at 100km/hr while manual will in fact hit 3k rpm at 100km/hr. I have driven 1.3 n 1.6l cars.. and all seems exactly the same to me.

I think if it does not exceed 3rpm, there shouldn't be any cause for concern.

I think if it does not exceed 3rpm, there shouldn't be any cause for concern. Even if exceed 3000RPM, it's ok... Cos of the gear ratio that determine the RPM

I am driving a Carens, my rpm is also 2.5k at 100km/h.
I also noticed when I drive on NSE at 110km/h. It is also 2.5k. Seems like the engine and gearbox shaft is not locked.
At 120km/h, it reached 3k rpm. And at 80km/h 2k rpm, sometimes, it go to 1.5k rpm if I lightly tap the accel.

It's normal. Try change to manual and you will see the difference.
