As aaur4man has recommended try changing the brake pad to performance brake pads like bendix or N brake pad and change your brake fluid to a performance one. After this if still insufficient you can consider either slotting your rotors or get the ssbh. Not easy to find aftermarket rotor for our vehicle.

for me ATE Blue brake fluid and Bendix titanium pad is good enough.
spend a little more on getting tires with good grip

no need ssbh first...
drain n bleed ur brake fluid first... see if improves...
if not, next step..change to bendix or mintex brake pad...
still not enough.... buy a gd tyres, keep good distance n brake harder la...
still cannot get enough.... u change ssbh also no use...coz will get greedy for more...

SSBH need to be careful though. Am driving a V1 hatch and have SSBH installed by Autobacs. Seems there is no direct replacement and they need to do some mod to the hose to install it. The sheath of the SS hose for the front was rubbed off baring the SS hose caused by poor installation and tyres running against hose while turning. Fixed a bracket to hold hose in. Then after an e-brake, brake warning light starts to appear -> leaking brake fluid. Made another 2 trips there to have it fixed. So if really want to install, find a reliable one. Performance can only be felt at harder braking. But ultimately still spongy, improved abit only.

That is why we always stressed pple to buy those SSBH with factory made length for the correct ride. Not those cut and customised type.
Magnum SSBH is worth the try. Try Li Hong for various car made.
We have come to a conclusion that cerato stock braking mechanism is spongy after several feedback.

Have you also noticed Cerato brake is 90% front, only 10% rear. The car will tilt alot downward in the front compared to other cars. It will be better if can change the braking distribution to 60%-40%.
The spongy feel could be the brake hose, change to stainless steel.

Hi, care to share how you come to this conclusion on force distribution of 90/10? What you describe is nose dive, heavy front end and soft springs does that. Easy, I change my front brake pads 3 times before the rear brakes pad is changed. The front brake pads are 2 times larger than the rear, that means most of the hydraulic force is being applied to the front pads.
Actually, some cars does have 90%-10% distribution, but the problem is that it makes the car tilt forward, suspension is beside the point, since I am referring to brake distribution and it is not as efficient to have almost all braking only on the front pads.

Dont think can change the braking distribution so just live with it, all stock suspension and brake pads, but other brands of car don't tilt forward and downwards so much.
