Hi Guys,
I need some advise.
Quite sometime ago I damaged my add-on exos tip due to reversing into a high curb. Besides having a few of the rear bumper clips broken off, the exos tip was bent downwards badly at the muffler joint. I just asked the workshop to knock it back up.
Few months back, I noticed the exos tip started to bent on it's own which might be due to rough rides on coil-overs. So I just ask the workshop to knock it up again.
But recently I noticed the tip was totally loose. Jacked up the rear and saw the tip was breaking off near the the tip-muffler joint. I can still see the inward dent at the muffler due to previous damage.
If I were to ask the workshop to weld back at the muffler joint, for sure I won't pass my next 2nd inspection unless the whole muffler gets replaced for a few hundreds.
Does LTA allows muffler repairs? Like patching rust/holes or for my case, weld back the damage exos tip on the muffler box? What options do I have? TIA...

First of all, your models are cute.
What I can tell you is, try to consult any vehicle inspector first before welding. Show him the damage and such.
I feel that to weld a simple short tip which looks like the stock one should not be a problem.

Do you mean just go down for inspection with the damaged tip then ask the inspector if can weld back, go workshop then come back for reinspection? My next inspection is not till next year end feb. So I'm looking for some solution which could also save the trouble if getting failed next year. Thanks~!

No man. Not inspection.
Try to ask for his opinion on whether you can just weld it back or replace it with a normal pipe or not.

any welding marks on your exhaust system=fail. period. no need to reason,no need to argue. even if just exhaust tip.
