De-cat, muffler is common mod. Slight improvement from med, slight drop on low, sounds more attractive. Best for tune-ready ecu to optimize it. Suggest a slight increase of CR for better drive.

Operated exhaust performance may not be better than aftermarket ones.
I suggest you look into the intake department then going to the 'darkside' immediate.
Even you do something only to the muffler, the gain will be very little.
Worth the effort to do this with expense of labour & operation(also get ready $500 in pocket just in case), you think about it.

Since you are Risked, ask Kelvin what setup gives the best driveability.
I rather you get an aftermarket one and keep the stock for inspection.
You meaning ways to do it depends on the workmanship of the welder and also luck on the day of inspection.
You ask your friend what exhaust mod confirm pass in detail la....we all also want to know....

HI bro if your ride is risked and nothing happened to exhaust good to look at qfr instead of fdl after you did something to exhaust..

Change high comp pistons. Trim head increase compression. Port polishing. Increase valve size. ECU tuning. Re fit bearings. Lightening/balancing crankshaft Lightening flywheel.
All these dont fail inspection. Enjoy

Once u decat, operate muffler or do anything to exhaust system... U will surely lose power from ur current setup. U have to surely do FDL to regain it back. If u wan to further improve ur current setup, do QFR will do. It's FDL tat needs to do up all hardware first. QFR need not. Once ur ride has RISK+QFR, no further mods on performance is needed. Tested n proven by many. Best part is... U need not fear any inspection or operation by TP or LTA! Hope it helps to clarify all ur queries. =)

Of cos if u still wanna do, we can't stop u. We can only advise as it only affect ur pockets. Hehehe...

Also, e few bros who r more experienced in tis area r Picantroy aka Roy, khoo's pica, Little Red Riding Hood, dllatimer & Tutuchia. Myself had also tested e diff setup w my pica previously. Only RISK+QFR w stock exhaust system gives e best effect. Of cos driver plays a part too. Tats also why no other legal NA setup can surpass this combination. Keke... Feel free to call me if u need further clarification. Cheers!

Oh. I think I will do fdl. De cat cost 80. Haha. Lose power in high end after decat? RISK optimise low to mid end. Thus, watever u do... u will lose from this area. Honestly, y spend $80 to de-cat & $880 for FDL to get e same effect or slightly lesser den effect of RISK+QFR ($480)? i dun understand e logic... Also, a pica is always a 1.1L. Even put turbo also will not be on par w a 2.0L. Thus, maximise to improve drivability will be goo liaoz. =)

Am i right to say no replacement for displacement....haha...
End of the day if you got cash to do up stage 2 internal... i rather u change to other ride...
Just go for drivability like bro kevin says.... you go fast fast, defensively, you also need good braking power....
Handling also come in considerate....
I believe a car with all round drivability is more than enough... these few area you looking at also come at a cost...
So plan your budget....
