Something to ponder... Usually when I approach a traffic junction, & a car is in the oppoiste lane waiting to turn (his) right... i would flash my headlights to get his attention of me on-coming... Recently, I noticed that sometime, the other party will flash his headlights back... I wonder if this means (1) he's acknowledging my on-coming & he's not moving forward... or (2) he's pissed with me flashing my headlights & thus flashing his back.... ?? I hope its the former & not the latter... anyone had the same experience???

Oh ...... I think they are probably pissed off. I thought we are not supposed to pass a high beam facing the front of a vehicle. Too blinding. You can pass a high beam when approaching a vehicle from behind ...... to warn them. If the junction is obstructed, you are better off to slow down and ready to stop. Sometimes, when you pass a high beam, the vehicle just suddenly move off becos he/she may have accidentally press the accel due to reflexes.....or izzit too pissed off......heeee..... Something to ponder... Usually when I approach a traffic junction, & a car is in the oppoiste lane waiting to turn (his) right... i would flash my headlights to get his attention of me on-coming... I dont mean I flash my lights & then sped across... i still slow down when approaching junctions, but omehow feels safer if i get the attention of the guy opposite so that he doesnt do something 'not very bright' & affecting him & me...
ilovekoup & Petertham: Not happy I also cannot help it right? its for safety leh...
appletree: just flashing once or twice.... not high-beam all the well... & if you have the right of way, stopping at a junction bec' the guy opposite is not attentive, it might actually cos' more hazard to you & the poor chap behind you...
Sincerely, I hope they flash back is to indicate 'Ok, i see you, i'm not moving, pls proceed on'... rather than 'wtf, flash for wat?'... what happens to 'tolerance & grace'?

flash once very long means not happy. flash flicker means acknowledge. Simple logic.

normally when you flash you get the attention. If i ever flash back it should mean something not that happy for me. but normally i don't flash back.

Don't ever flash any lights at junction. Many people don't take it positively
