Our engine can run on ron 92 petrol by manufacturer recommendation. But if u tune ur engine then u might need something better eg. ron 95 for more stable combustion. For everyday driving, 92 or 95 is sufficient unless u track. For my ride, I can feel the difference between 95 and 98. Nv tried 92 before. FC no difference between the 2 types.
Be it 92,95 or 98, no such thing as dirty unless u go msia...our fuel filter will do it's job to remove contaminants.

Technically it's every 60K...u may encounter difficulty in crank start if the filter gets dirty and clogged...resulting in insufficient fuel pumped into combustion chamber. I did buy once from minghee but forgot how much was that...should be ard 50+. But i can remember harmony charged 60 for labour...zzzzz.....

My labour less than that i changed my fuel filter with ATF and EO, after that FC improved much much, now time to change EO and ATF again by right 60K, mine changed at 76K

Hi, Just share my experience on my Cerato.
Usually I will pump Esso 95 in Singapore and Esso 97 in Malaysia.
Most of the time, I will get my tank top-up at Malaysia frequently and found that I could feel a "power-loss" when I switch the petrol to Singapore's 95.
I also tried to switch from Esso 97 to Caltex 97, there also experience a huge "power-loss" more than Esso 97 to Esso 95.
But with this 3 different petrol Esso 95, Esso 97 and Caltex 97, my FC remains more or less the same. The reason I tried to try out Caltex was that, it was reported that Caltex had a higher detergency rate in a report from America.

Every car performs different even though they are the same spec n model. It depends on the driver. Eg. A car frequently goes outstation vs. housewife's car
On the other hand I guess that higher octane petrol helps the engine as it has added powerwhich leads to a quieter engine
