No prob, am ok. Just collected the car today. Exterior everything ok. Just the engine. Seems like belts need to replace, quite brown and teeth look a bit worn. Thats why I'm here to try my luck to see if I can contact the previous owner to check on the servicing condition.

Just try to check with CNC first, call in their centre and quote the carplatenumber.

buy already then find previous owner is not going to help you.
You bought your own set of problems, you have to buy your solution.

Yes, true. Once the car is off to the dealer, sign deal. Former owner have no liability already. Selfish as it seems, but dun think anyone will spare the time to entertain query like this, unless car is sold to family member or close friends.

No la, just wanna see if can check from previous owner when was the last change of timing belt stuff, so I can estimate when I should get it replaced. Cos the mileage 140k already so hard to judge. It was a rush buy so did not really test and check. Went down to dealer, see the car, start the engine, spin one round at carpark, confirm price then few days later collect car. Really rush. After drove off the car realised oil leak from engine box, just took day leave to get it repair. Looking at the timing belt also like soon due... Was thinking if can tah Han few more months before get it changed cos broke Liao....haha.... But... Cerato quite a cool car yah.... Btw, is this car engine suppose to be a bit rough? Cos comparing to sunny, altis and airwave I used to drive... The acceleration feel seems rough.

Nice to meet you bro do join our meetups this friday. And especially if you bought your car second hand better do major servicing if you don't want it to die on you when you need it the most. I just encountered a car at the jb workshop i frequent who drove till all the engine oil dried up and needed a engine overhaul

Hee... no problem...I'm a easy guy Had done up the whole timing belt set including replacing the water pump $320. Seems like no much other visible wear parts to replace. Also did solar film for $280 with 70% heat rejection. Thought mostly settled but something caught my attention....my coolant fluid. It drop quite a fair bit within a few days. I remembered my previous cars never even top up once for 2 years at least. anyone know possible reasons?

Your considered good lo. Mine i bought that time seemed ok. Even brought to expressway to test. But then later, found that Gearbox having probs. The dealer said warranty major parts and that Gearbox is not considered. Major as in Engine, A/C. Wa lau!!!! Anyway got it replaced and changed the timing belt, fan belts, trans fluid, brake fluid, EO, Steel Braided Brake Hose and Air filter. Car so far ok less the fuel consumption which like your is quite bad, 8km/l.
