Does tinting of windows prevent heating up of cars parked in the open for long periods? I left my display box in my car and the plastic melted!

Your tinted windows may prevent and bounce off any ultra-violet rays but your car is made of metal which will get heat up under the sun and in terms heat up your interior. Unless your whole car is isulated from heat then your car confirm is cool always

Bro some advice for you.
Good things dun come cheap and cheap things dun come good. Pay peanuts? Get monkey.
I have been tinting 15% light for all my cars since I started driving. I tried jb cheap one before and the color fades off just after 4 months. Heat rejection zero. Price 190 sgd for all six panel.
Recently done at Novox marketing. The most ex one is 700 plus for whole car but that one is really 90% heat rejection. I did the 400 plus one (mid range) pretty good.
The best to keep car from heating up is using good solar film, with roof sound proofing. Then buy the foldable sun screen to put on windscreen when parking under sun. Install window visor so that your window can open a bit as not to trap heat. With that car will still be a little hot but air con should cool it down in a min or two.
Hope that helps.....

Bro, I got my car tinting at 180 which has a very ex bad job done. Cheap doesn't mean good but may get u some trouble. Try not to go to bukit merah there as they did provide window tinting n some others sticker. If really go for a good 1 may consider 3m. I think that is the best quality assurance.

Good Advice tommitoh. Hmm... din konw solar film will fade away sia. Another advise is to try to avoid parking under the hot sun. Thanks. I'm just sharing my experience after so many window tinting. Ya the low quality solar film will fade after Kena sun for some time. You guys can try Novox marketing at first centre. novoxmarketing.com/Boss name is Perumal. The workers are his nephew but they only cut solar film the actual work is done by the boss himself. He has the lightbulb test in his shop to show you the diff between different grade. If you planning to do lta compliant one can consider do the higher grade one cos more expensive but can last you very long. He advice me against doing the higher grade one cos I do super dark only 10% light all round. So will Kena tear down by lta anytime hence he ask me to do the second cheapest one. Very friendly guy. You guys can try. Text me at 97774058 before you go down. I can give him a call and ask him give some discount.

Yes, tint may fade thru years of battle w the uv rays.
My previous pica first 3 yrs passed inspection, 2nd inspection at 5th year failed as the film degraded, also my reservist camp pass in my console became toasted wrap like prawn crackers...
U pay for what u get, go for some reputable ones, I no complains cos is foc by cnc.

I did mine at NOVOX with my previous Nissan March 1.0M about 500 but It helped my aircon as the car became much cooler. Its not the color or darkness of the tint which affects its the amount of the material (which I can't remember the name) on the film which rejects the sun.
