From what I read in the north american forums, their AC system is more of a mixer type, like hot-cold water mixer. Whereas our system relies on conventional vari-resistor coupled to a thermosensor, just like out standard bathroom water heater. So in their case, MAX A/C could just mean no hot air allowed in.
But I may be wrong ..

Actually, the cerato's a/c are based on continental cars. Both the heater and aircon compressor is running at fixed max setting. You get the desired temp by adjusting the mixture of hot and cold air via a flap controlled by the temp dial. Once in my previous Spectra, I removed the heater and the aircon was running at max cold all the time! After that I had to install a thermostat to control the temp.

So you mean on or off the max a/c there'll be no difference?
