total milage is 56k... so guys do i need to change? abit confuse. =( Hi, your mileage on your tyres still considered ok lah...but it still comes down on your driving habits..eg. hard braking, hard acceleration. Just check your tyre threads regularly to ensure no balding or uneven thread wear. If u experience 'floating' when u cut thru water, most likely threads are worn out and time to change. The Kumho KU31 are value for money tyres. The price offered quite reasonable if they are 215/45/17

Hi, 215/45/17 is usually a standard spec for most 17 inch tyres. If u change to 215/55/17, there might be a slight inaccuracy in ur speedo reading cause overall the tyre is bigger. The tyre profile will affect ur handling. 'wet' tyres usually not quiet. So check the type of tyres before getting.

Just in case u dunno, tyres also has manufactured dates.. hence, the longer the date of manufactured, the cheaper it is.. u may get a cheaper price for ur tyres, but do note of the tyres date. Always remember, cheap things dun come good. To see if u need to change tyres, and dun be conned by the workshop guys, u might wanna try this Every tyres got a '^' arrow at the external surface of the tyres.. follow the ^ and touch the first row of tyre markings.. u will feel the hump.. if the hump and the tyre surface gap is thin, then it's time to change tyre. I learn from tyre workshop de..

Wet tyres have better aqua planning and grip on wet roads. Usually their tyre threads are 'V' shaped to cut thru water and they are of softer compound...therefore noisier.
