Hello folks =), i'm newbit here and appreciate ur guidance i've newly brought a 2nd-hand pica (milliage 27k). and very new to the horse power of 1.1L engine (as i'm too used to honda civic 1.6 at BBDC) The issue i found if changing of gears occur at any rev below 2400rpm (moving off) it's horrible slow and even a van can easily overtake me for a smooth and best pickup for me around 3000rpm. so perhaps, issit common?

u already said u too used to 1.6 civic.. so now u need to be used to your 1.1 pica.. it is like if you been driving pica for learning, then bought a 1.6 civic, it will be like f16 plane to you

and try to shift the gears fast don't let the rpm fall too much. if it does you need to rev it up again.

The first powerband for pica is ard 2800 to 3500 rpm. Change gear during tis point best. By changing at tis point, FC will not suffer also. Auto or manual is e same. Those tat try to be light footed will suffer in power n FC.

Bro, I use to drive before n changing every gear at the rpm 3000. My FC abt 14~16 in between but there's a trick which is after u felt the speed is comfortable light footed a bit may save u petrol. I beening using for 2yrs plus but I still in love with my ex pica due to the weight is light n pick up can be good is u compare with some others old folk driving big ride. Manual is a fun choice to play around.....
