Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this topic was discussed previously, but I can't find any thread here.
Anyway, I noticed that before I sent my Forte (1.6A SX) for servicing (30,000km), it was hovering between 2700-2800 rpm. But after the servicing, it dropped to 2500 rpm instead. It happened instantaneous. I know this is actually good news. I just wanna find out from everyone here whether it is the change of engine oil (C&C use 5W40 grade) or is it just the servicing that has this impact?
Feel free to share your rpm here as well, especially for Forte 1.6A SX!

Looks like it is normal to be at 2.5k.
So, does servicing or change of oil help to improve?

It's a norm to get rev around 2.5K rpm. Anything more than 3k rpm, your babe is drinking.

if most of the 4 gear is around 2k plus then the rpm should be around there.. unless final drive have being change to a higher gear ratio. It's a norm to get rev around 2.5K rpm. OK. I go and check later. Not too sure if min is 2.5k or 3k. But wat needs to be done if it's 3k rpm and on 4th gear ànd at a speed of 100km/h? if most of the 4 gear is around 2k plus then the rpm should be around there.. unless final drive have being change to a higher gear ratio.
