Oh so sorry to hear that!!! Hey, I went to this little known place and it is actually AA approved. The owner and the staff run a small set up but they know their stuff, esp. the Boss, Lim !!! I am not affliated to them in any way at all. I am not insisting that you go there. Shop around and make your own choice. He changed my radiator with a re-cond ( salvaged from scrap car I think ). Cost me about 3 to 4 hundred bucks. Still ok. Been close to a year now. Here's the address:- Kim Chuan Seng Motor Work Blk 4, 393 L Woodlands Road 19 km Yew Tee Industrial Estate Singapore 677902 Tel: 6760 6300 Contact: Mr Lim Kim Lye / Jenny 5% off labour charges for repairs Call first and specify your model and make. They'll check to see to see if they have the stock. Hope this helps, pal!!!! Here's wishing your ride a speedy recovery

Instead of changing the whole radiator, just change the plastic part where the crack is instead.

Bro ahxiong what happened to your radiator? If the plastic as mentioned by Ficks can just change that part, call Synergy Auto look for Ah Kang 93392143

mdboy when will you check your radiator coolant level? When its cold? If i remember correctly if too much coolant it will flow to the reservoir by the side

And when i top up cooland reservior full and it will decrease several days later. Is it normal fOr us to top Up everytime? bro, when you check your coolant level, it is ambient temp(e.g. 28degC). you tot its low and top up to brim, then you start your car and the coolant tempt reaches operating temp(e.g. 92DegC), at this stage, due to the expansion of water at this temp, the coolant overflows to the expansion tank(plastic container) and causes it to overflow( through the drain pipe near the top cap). when the cars cools down, vacuum in the radiator sucks the coolant back from the expansion tank. after couple of cycles, there will be a natural lost in coolant and thats the reason why every time when you open your radiator cap, you won't see the coolant at the brim(except if your coolant is still hot).

if it solve the issue then no of-course cos new one costs abt $240 at Ming Ghee. but change new plastic, not sure whether can tahan or not? if can tahan, oso don't know how long? Anyway please continue to check the water level every morning b4 starting the engine (as suggested by lost witnesses).

now worst!! just now start car, suddenly smoke comes out alot from exos, the more i accelerate, the more smoke and the engine like wana die off, wat actually happen?? and how much repair?? don't panic bro. your engine is still fine. seems like your head gasket is really blown. leaking pressurized coolant into the cylinder when the engine is running(water pump starts with the engine). the coolant gets mixed with the combustion process and the by-product is white smoke. don't run your engine too much at this point as it is not good for your catalytic converter. what you need is to go ming ghee and buy your self a new head gasket and go to a trusted workshop and just tell them you need your gasket replaced.(remember to top up your radiator with plain water before driving to the workshop). if you don't have a regular workshop or mechanic, call different workshop and just ask them how much to replace gasket, if you tell them about your problem, they will smoke you and tell you lots of rubbish(need to replace this and that, do top overhual etc..). the process of replacing the head gasket is very straight forward(8 bolts holding the cylinder head to engine block) , and anything more then $300 for labor would be considered chopping carrot head. but if they know you panic and desperate, you'll see them sharpening their cleavers for the kill.

Thank u so much bro lostwitness, I ask my fren a mechanic oso but army wan lah, he also says the same thing, just change the head gasket, confirm its water inside engine coz smoke comes out is blue colour, yes I wana leave the car that way sinz changing ride, but will the agent accept it?? Or they will accept, but the price for my car to trade in go lower??
