Dear Joey
Good day to you.
Seek you all advice...
My Koup recently encountered idling speed revving up when i start the vehicle in the morning. normally we start our vehicle in the morning the engine rpm will rev up very high and will automatically stabilise.. however, in my situation, the revving did not stabilise and stay stagnant with the revving up.. RPM reading at 1..Even when moving off, i shift to D the revving still persist. it is when i stop the engine and restart the engine , it will turn back to normal. Sometimes it happens sometime it will not...
what is the problem? spark plug faulty? but i just change my spark plug -iridium at 10K.. my current mileage is 16K. Choke assembly dirty? or when can we locate the choke cable to adjust it?
Pls advise.
thks

if u hv not touch ur idling sensor or throttle body
then maybe its ur spark plugs not suitable or install wrong model... or throttle cables too tight.
i had tis prob lately.. its throttle cables too tight after the workshop took out my throttle body to wash..after put back.. its same prob as urs.
my rpm stuck at 1200rpm.. u try using ur tip of ur feet to go BELOW of ur accelerator pedal. lift it up slowly... to see if the rpm goes down to normal level. if yes, then throttle cable too tight. mine had tis prob.
i went workshop to loosen bit n back to normal.

Most probably it's some sensor mis-reporting to the ECU. Have your ECU's data stream analyse by C&C, it should be the best way. Moreover, yours should still be under warranty.

Problem resolved wihout going to CnC... it seems that the iridium spark plug i had fitted had uneven gapping... it is strange because the mechanic did not drop or adjust it... so now change back to stock champion spark plug... all become normal..
