I think you should know where is the Air-Filter (AF) location. After the AF, there is a duct connecting the thottle body. Between the duct, there is a break and there is a duct insert with a few wires. That is the MAF. I suggest you DO NOT try to clean it yourself since you dont even know where it is. I dont know if the V1 uses thin wire or hot film. If thin wire, it break easily even by touching it. Get a good workshop to stray clean it. Or you can learn it from Youtube. If heat film type, you dont have to do any cleaning as it is self clean. When you turn off the engine, the ECU do housekeeping, it will raise the temperature of the hot film to abt 1000C and the dust is vapourized. Remember dont do it if you are not sure. This is critical component, if broken, the engine will not start. Or try pulling out the connector when the engine is running....... it should stall immediately. Hi, Could anyone advise where's the location of the MAF sensor for Cerato V1? Thanks.

Hi appletree,
Thanks for your advice. However my ride does not any sensor or wiring between the ducting from the throttle body to the air filter box. I could remove this ducting fully without disconnecting any wires. I'm not too sure why my ride is different for the others. That's why I'm asking for some advice here. Are you able to help me out? Thanks.

Hi themstextreme, I feel that my ride have a rough idling speed and sometimes when moving off the car seems to vibrate alot. Sometimes it even stall. Mine is a manual. Dunno if it's related to the MAF therefore would want to check if the MAF is dirty. Thanks.

Hi bro, the way u describe the symptoms, i don't think it's the MAP sensor faults. Sorry, I can't imagine what you mean by "rough idling speed". Need to take a ride in your car to understand this condition. PM yr hp. I c what I can do?

The is no MAF sensor for the V1 engine. Only MAP sensor which is located directly above the "KIA" logo on the engine cover. Supported by two hex bolts with a screw head.
