my sticky pad had melted on my deskboard and there are many left over residual. anyone noe how to get rid of it?

Alcohol should do the job, but make sure you clean over with some wet wipes and dry properly...

Don't know leh. I have a bottle of alcohol which I use to remove permanent marker ink. Easy evaporated type...

You can try using a cloth soaked in a little bit of cooking oil. Works when I try to remove masking tape residue. When you're done use another cloth with soap and water to remove the oil.

i used the ethanol alcohol. but it didnt help leh =( cooking oil ltr the car got smell. hhaa

Apologies if I wasn't clear. Use unused cooking oil ie. not the one used to fry garlic already.. haha Shouldn't be smelly.

If you can get Acetone then use Acetone of Thinner. Take note thinner MUST BE diluted. If not buy the 3M label remover spray. Orange small somemore. If use the 3M product remember to spray and leave it for about 3-5mins then try to rub it off.

try zippo fluid, it works on my ride to remove sticky stuffs.
