2003 should be 1.8 model... 2.0 started from 2005 onwards...
Regarding iridium spark plugs... I dont think it has any direct effect on mileage... It may offer better engine response though... but this is my personnal opinion... U see wat the other bros says...

Iridium SP can last for 100kkm for most engine. Your car already on the 8th years, abit waste since it is quite ex. Unless you are extending your COE.....
Reuse and remount not so good seal as the washer is crushed on the first mount to give a good seal.
Normal stock KIA/Hyundai-NGK 4pcs for $12.50 can use up to 40kkm......
BTW, I also experience a slight drop in FC with Iridium. How bad is FC for those who report bad FC......??

That is strange ?? It is only a slight drop in FC, you probably will not even notice it.....I thought about < 20 km per full tank. Did you DIY ? Need to be tighten to just right if not, compression ratio issue results in FC problem. Bobian... Lousy FC ... Will monitor

Changing of Iridium plugs will hardly improve your FC unless your plugs or ignition coil is old but power and throttle response will improve due to lower chance of misfiring.
The smaller iridium tip also lower the voltage require to jump the gap, this itself will lower your ignition coil load thus prolong your coil life. Just like brake pads, ignition coil is a wear and tear item so taking care of it will save you $ in the long run.

CnC told me stock 40k change and Iridium 80k... Not the 10k that I always hear leh. That said, maybe like every 20k change ATF, pre-emotive strike?
I on NGK Iridium and FC no diff. But maybe like bro trex101 said, the gap thing will prolong the coil thing. U can tell I am no engineer. Lol
Anyway, is what appletree said about mounting one time only true? Then means cannot do SP servicing n regapping?

Wait a minute, I did not say mount one time leh.....I am only saying a second time mount will not be as good. Regapping is a NO NO as you may fracture the U-groove in the process. SP maker has pregap to your engine requirement lor. For example most engine uses 1.1mm gap.....and the Carens is one of them. The sharp tip in Ir SP help to burn better as the spark is focus in one point. And Ir SP can have have such a sharp tip is becos it is very durable (Hard) compare with copper tip. Only 3 ton of Ir is mined every year. It is more expensive than gold...... As for normal plug, the coil voltage need to increase by 500V for every 10kkm.....something like that. ECU these days do this automatically without you knowing it. That why even normal SP can last 40kkm. As for ATF......std is 40kkm + 5kkm. Use your nose is the best way to judge if change is required.....
