Hello fellow Cerato owners .. I find a problem with my v1 clearance, I am always scratching my front and or rear bumpers. Car's on stock springs & shocks and working as it should and factory-sized tyre & wheel. I am assuming mine came with factory bumper lips and lower rear bumpers ..not sure though
So, anyway to remove these and swap for whatever is normal so helping with my clearance ..?

most of the scratches occur with 5 persons in car ...the places I go to have tall kerbs I think., myneighbourhood carpark is an example ...I avoid as best i can ..but it is uaually too late by the time I get realised Of all the cars I owned (this is my 4th car) this cerato has the lowest clearance! Ok, if I de-kit in bodyshop, what would they do with the rivet holes ah? Also fog lights removed i think ...

haha...maybe your car already have lowered spring.
But depends on how the bodykit is attached to car body. Those using doublesided tape and screws, I have no problem dekitting it on my own.
If silicon, there might be a problem as if the glue/silicon is too sticky, when dekit, even the car base color might came off when the kits are peeled off.
If rivet then hole will be there, need to patch back might need respray...extra cost again....

Stock spring usually quite soft especially for the rear and since 5 person (adult) in the car, ur rear will looks more lower than lowering spring!
One old driving practice maybe could help is open the door n look behind to ensure it won't knock the kerbs.
Just curious how u get scratch to ur front skirt?
What color of v1 u driving?

Park head in first, get near to kerb ..then kena audio confirmation ...scratchhhhh .. i usually open door to peep since these incidents ..except for one occasion when i total misjudge driving to a high kerb to insert cashcard for parking ..deeep scratch and crack the bumper a bit. with the body kit, i also cant park with my front in due to the skirting. Too low! sure scratch! I scratch it a few times. But i found that my springs are higher infront that the rear. Any idea to make the ride higher? like the older generation of Altis? comfort ride yet higher ground clearance and yet not compensating the handling?

..upsize the tyre? Ample ground clearance for sure but it may look too tall? ..

I thought have to change the suspension or pinned up the suspension height :x

the usual suspension mods are to lower the ride height ..so to go the other way, add spacers under the springs? I read in the USA Hyundai forums, Tiburon (Tuscani) standard rear suspension struts are actually 10mm taller that the Eleantra. And the Elantra is a very close relative to our Cerato ...

there are ppl who install stiffeners. i guess for u this case it works both ways.
- to reduce the height reduction when fully loaded - to protect your suspension . this i am concerned, if u keep scratching when fully seated even under normal road conditions, it may mean ur spring's losing its mojo

aaur4man, does stiffeners affect the ride comfort? that's the main concern

Spacers sound interesting. Does it cost much? will it affect the ride comfort and handling?

Got ppl commented that it feels like sitting inside a Benz after install with stiffener. Personally never try but since it less than 100 buck ( if not mistaken) yet lift up ur car to help easier clearance of kerbs, no harm.
