HI there is it true that you should stick to one type of fuel brand and not pump diff brand of fuel as its not good for the engine. Generally petrol is petrol. Different brands contains different types of additives. Personally i feel it's all right to mix as long as it's the same octane number, brand A 98 with brand B 98. But dun mix 98 with 92 lah...mix once in a blue moon it's ok but dun every half tank u mix. Petrol in SG are the 'Cleanest' as their filtration process are better than Msia. Personally I pump at JB therefore I only stick to 1 brand and 1 type.

no big deal if you are to mix octanes. Your engine won't get affected.
instead, your ECU will not read as properly as before. So you may have to do an ECU reset whenever you change your octane

Fine to mix octane, limited to the lowest acceptable for the particular stock engine. More advance engines with knock sensors will compensate ignition timing when it detects a lower grade than its recommended i.e min. requirement RON95 but running RON92

Must follow 3/4 tank when we are thinking of going up North just to fill up our tank. Sob sob. Hard to comeby cheap fuel. Forecast that the next 6months prices of fuel will keep climbing due to political unrest in middle east where they are the supplier for fuels. Shall we switch to nuclear power?

Aiya. Go in 3/4 lor to fill up that 1/4 lor. Dun forget, every tank still can squeeze about the Full Mark. Since they want to be stricter on rules then we play by the rules lar.

fill up early in the morning or at night when the sun is down. the petrol is denser because its cooler.
pump to the brim. no need to overflow.
my ride, i pump to the click, can squeeze in another 10L or more. I believe those say overfill one is those who actually shakes their car
