OK guys..
update on the TRUNK DOOR HINGE COVER.
Not what wewant to hear.
Apparently, KMC simply replied to C&C/KIA that the parts are not suitable for the K5's sold into Singapore.
Not sure whether there were communication hiccups or confusion by the USA parts numbers.
Just seem too much to have Michelle ask again..., if there aren't really too many of us keen to do the cover. If they introduce the cover into new K5's here, we can kick a fuss!
Maybe anyone going S Korea, or even China, can keep a lookout for them in accessories shops?

Thanks for the update, Vincent.
by the way, do you remember the rear spoiler we saw on the K5 display car? I can't seem to find it online. Do you have any contact for it? if not, I can drop an email to Michelle

Hi, Tommy..
sorry, unable to help with the spoiler. Tot i did see something like it somewhere but just couldn't find it again.
maybe you can try ManCanDo. They seem to have some direct Korean connections. The spoiler is probably from Mobis, and they hadsome Mobis items in their shop.
otherwise, as u said.. can try ask Michelle to help. I would think C&C/KIA will start stocking a few of these as spares??

Thanks Hi bro, I got it at 65SGD including shipping if I am not wrong. Front piece is slightly harder but it is fine. With patience and a bit of strength, nothing is impossible. You will need a screwdriver and a thick cloth as well as fishing lines to remove it. Some goo-gone will be gd as well to remove the sticky remnants after

Bro Johnson and jeff, thank for the information. I was thinking of buying from this website for SGD40.40 and I use 2 discount voucher. it is for the front and back. the only concern is that I do not know how to fix it properly. hence was thinking to go to local auto shop to do it. list.qoo10.sg/item/FOR-KIA-2011-2012-OPTIMA-K5-GRILLE/408299292Hi, Bro Ben. thanks for sharing the picture with me. I was looking for something else. perhaps I should rephase to say that I am looking for the trunk lip which I was on the K5 display set. I will ask michelle for the picture to share.

There are 2 kinds of the K logo. one is the older generation one and the new one is the 3D K logo. I had the old one before and quality is bad....there will be watermarks which cant be cleaned off. so do check before buying. yup yup you can go install at the workshop. they have the tools so much easier

Tommy,
my friend checked.
Vendor will not arrange delivery overseas. Work-around as follows..:
a. local delivery to address in S Korea.... KRW10,000. b. post/courier to Sgp..., depending on package total weight. registered. 6kg @krw70,000; 10kg @ KRW95,000; 15kg @ KRW125,000.
Actually, it doesn't look too expensive? Probably like KRW200k ~250k ?
Catch for you is... no option for Metal Bronze! they only have for
Snow White Pearl Silver light Silver Satin Metal Light Graphite Platinum Graphite Santony Blue Black Pearl

Bro petf69, we can't.
I asked KMC about this. Only the USA models actually have this as a working light, as it is required by their traffic laws. For the ROW (including Sgp) models, it (the white one) is only decorative and there is no wiring harness nor provision to install bulbs. If we want it as "original", we have to change the entire headlamp cluster and wiring.
There are aftermarket mods, like the one you referred to. But it will require the headlamp assembly to be dismantled, the LED strip added, wiring modified (think this is a simple tap to the turn signal and position lights using a relay), and then the entire cluster re-assembled.
ManCando claims they can do it (for about $250, iirc) and confident of the re-assembled cluster remaining water-tight. You may wish to check with them again. It will surely void C&C warranty (at least for the headlamps), I should think.
There should be others who can do similar. Some of the K5 bro's have good W/S contacts, and maybe they can share...
