No. Only need fine tune on the dyno map for the unichip. The unichip is to control the ecu to bring out the car performance.

Hi sorry am a newbie at this. Just want to check, you mean by tuning the internal car chip you can increase the car performance? If so by how much? It's not tuning the internal Chip Aka ecu. The unichip is manage the ecu to bring out the car performance by means of dyno map.

Price seems attractive. Most workshops quote $800+. Don't recall any that's at the $700.
I believe SMT8 is because of the E-throttle. I believe there used to be SMT6, but I saw on the web its no longer in production.

Yes John. Smt6 is no longer in production. From what I know, the warranty would void for unichip tuning. Is it reversible ? Or having an ecu flash which is more appropriate and it's reversible ?

But for unichip that different when sell car you still can take back and fit it to the next car.

Major svc at cnc need to remove.Correct? Retuning needed. Minor ones have to go workshop. QF is transferrable. Of course , I refer piggyback. Actually, not very detailed understanding on it.
Find one day talk to Darren

I was considering flash too, though it will all be wasted once car sold. But at least hard to detect visually. Next thing is that when i send in CnC for servicing, what are the possibility that CNC might revert the map back stock. Caught between Chip & flash too.

Yes. Bro. If can squeeze out 10bhp or more. I don't mind. But need to see where to hide the chip and escape c&c detection.
