Smash for what? I already got stone chip.
Anyway, will they need to check the windscreen before replacement or whatsoever?

I got my replace this year. Check your insurance whether any excess. Also in my case the Rike Cool was recorded in my Sales Agreement and hence my insurance company over Rike Cool replacement too. Note no demerit point but can only claim 1 windscreen change per insurance year. Hence, time is rightly if you can.

Dear All,
Please take note, i am driving a cerato HB 05 version......currently our windscreen out of stock island wide, the earliest for it to come in is early jan when order, i know because i am looking for one, one stupid construction company scratched my windscreen( driver side) when a huge pile of mud from the digging machine flew out and hit onto my windscreen, argeed to pay for the damage but now the windscreen out of stock.....sad.....

Mine for hit by a pebble 1 week after I bought the car and the screen spider-cracked on me. I got a free replacement but the rikecool was not included, so I paid for a 3M solar film myself. In anycase, if its chipped and can be repaired, the insurance may insist to pay for repair instead of replacement.
