My advise to all my clients is to know where you want to go first before deciding on the mode of transport.
You must know what result you want your car to do (perform) than you will know what is needed. Eg, you want to eliminate the 'rubber band' effect of your 2.0 Koup or you want to improve your present fuel consumption of 1 liter per 10 km to 11 km or you want to achieve 2.59 mins at Sepang, etc.
Having a target will let you do the 'correct' mods. Cheers

The rubberband feel is when you sudden throttle, the car will not move off immediate with a G force feeling. Instead, it is as thought the gear box is made of rubber and absorber the torque. After a split second, then the engine will roar and force will come.

More obvious for Auto, yes.
Most Auto has this consideration of not making the shifting too obvious or have shock. That's why they will engage the gear in stages. This is one of the problem. By increasing the power output of the engine, this feel can be minimize.

so what is the most basic non time consuming solution for it? what would u recommend in increasing the power output of the engine without burning a hole in the pocket
Hi Joey, I ot abit.. For auto gearbox, is there a rpm limit we shld stick to? Manual can rev close to red line but I believe autos shld not in this case.. Is there any rpm that autos shld not rev above?

Lousy maintenance will decrease the efficiency of the engine by 10 - 20%. By just doing this correctly, you should be able to 'increase' the power output.
All performance products increase power output. The important factor here is: BY HOW MUCH?
If you are looking at value for money or HP/$, I dare to say that OEP is the best.

Yes, manual no 'guardian' like the TCU to limit the Rev.
You just drive like normal, the TCU will be the decision maker.
If you want, I would say that you try to master gear shifting with your accelerator pedal. I think I mention to you before.

wooh can to share abt this master gear shifting for AT car bro? If not can PM me
Yes.. U did mention to me before.. I tried on your technique and managed to get it right after some time.. But. I also realized that this can be done in a region of 3rpm and above..
I rev close to 4rpm occassionally.. Maybe twice per day.. Otherwise, I just drive normally.. Do u think it's ok to rev to 4rpm or shld I avoid it? Some articles says it's good to rev the engine because they are built to do so, others say engine will go up lorry..

The shift partner is not accurate as on the dot type. Sometime you may not get it but after practices, you should be able to control it 90% of the time.
Yes, engine is made to go high rev. It is a good practice as high rev engine has lesser carbon deposits and thus more responsive.
Protection of engine is another matter. If you don't high rev but never take care of engine like doing periodic maintenance. Engine will 'up lorry' too.

nash78: Hey Gary, i found the forte ecu to be very sensitive to changes. Even adding 2T to petrol @ 500:1 ratio to one tank of petrol, without other mods. ALSO makes the engine check light come. Only after i almost finish a 2nd tank of petrol, then it goes off.
