Hi Joey,
read from Forte and Caren thread that such problem happened on AT. Now my caren oso experience this problem. Any idea how to resolve? Is it ECU or sensor problem? Does the ODB-II scan gauge able to diagnose? Tks in advance 4 yr advice.

If you are experiencing erratic rpm and then stalling of engine when you are slowing down to a stop, I think it has got nothing to do with your Tranny. Most likely is your idle actuator controller's problem. Either it is too dirty or knocked-out. For this problem, sometime the scanner will not show anything. Remedy: 1. Clean Throttle and IAC. 2. Replace the above part.

Hi Joey, the rpm is not erractic. Just that during parking when u need to fwd and reverse & in btw stepping on the brake padel, the engine stall. In another incidence, while slowing down to a complete stop when waiting for the barrier to lift-up b4 entering the carpark. BTW, what's yr charges on the cleaning?

Quite confident it is due to dirty IAC. Labour charge is $60 (1 hour).
