Hi all, was quoted 700$ for 15 inch rs-01 rim with 205/60/15 dunlop tyres(v301), after trading in my 15 inch sports rim with hancock tyres, by a certain tyre shop. did some research and found that v301 is not bad tyre but Is it a good deal considering it is 15 inch trade 15 inch? Or was I being cut vegetable head? Experienced bro pls advice.. thx.

Why not go for 16" and go for 205/45-50 tyres. Of course FC compromise but slightly bigger rim like more balanced for our ride.

I traded in my stock rims for 17' Taiwan rims (normal weight) with GT Radial Chamipro 328 tyres for only $600...your shop is definitely out to chop u...the tyres I using now is considered above average...'V' tracks which means very good for cutting water. I had a lot of 'near miss' on the road and this tyre saved my insurance from going up...PM me if u wanna know where i got them CHEERS!

Hi bro, you might wanna try dealing with AL Tyres next time. He is under merchant section under the username ngkhiang. His prices are realli reasonable.
if you're looking for cheap n gd tires, might wanna consider federal.

federal's plus point is good grip but u'll need ear plugs when driving I dont mind the road noise, as long as it is not too amazingly loud can already. The performance wise more important, must be able to save me from kissing other ppl backside, and must be able to generate enough friction when my car pick up from rest. I always wheel spin when i pick up with my 185 /65/15 stock rims. any particular model to reccomend?

I used Kumho KU15 before, good grip in the dry as well as in the wet.. Google for specs.. I got it at 125/pc. The other one shd be Federal 595 EVO. Thread looks aggressive too.. Price shd be "friendly". Check with AL Tyres.. With regards to the Kumho KU15, it's perfect for dry weather.. Hard cornering is a breeze.

Cost abt 145 per 17' tyre, it's an affordable performance tyre.

Federal 595 evo is ard $135 per piece for 17". I using them now but noise sometimes very loud on certain roads, sometimes silent. A bit weird la. But grip is better than goodyear F1 and RS-02 but a bit lesser than Toyo T1R. I know cos i tried them all. Still nvr regret putting federals for my ride.
Can even go Ban Hin next to Vim auto. I got good price traded in my 16" to 17" rims. He take in also quite high.
