Hi all,
Just bought a used manual Cerato and have filled up with RON95 petrol. The User Manual states RON91 as minimum. Anyone used our local RON92? Is it safe to use the lower octane rating for our kind of city driving and knocking problems?
Thanks much for reading!

use wat the manual states, many street cars are tuned for ron 91. using higher will neva improve anything but lighter pocket. but neva go lower cos will cause knocking issue if the lower ron fuel ignites earlier...

In the 16 years I have been driving...Starlet DL -> Starlet XL -> Sephia -> Spectra -> Cerato V2, I have all along been using 92 with no problems. I only used 95 a few times for experimenting (conclusion no diff in FC but pay more!) as well as in malaysia where they may not have 92..
