Bros.... I'm very sure is the way u drive that controls the FC... cos my fc is very bad at times... If u dont believe.. try this... always keep yr rpm below 3000 even in yr 1st and 2nd gear... I tried and it helps a lot... But u know la... Guys will be guys... 3K rpm means u will be very slow on the road... so if u wan power then u have to forget abt getting good FC...

FC Update 26 Nov 07 for Kia Cerato V2 Auto <Earlier Records Trimmed> Tank 25=48.5l, 591km, 12.2 km/l Tank 26=45.0l, 530km, 11.7 km/l Tank 27=49.3l, 577km, 11.7 km/l Tank 28=40.1l, 541km, 13.5 km/l Tank 29=47.3l, 566km, 12.0 km/l Tank 30=41.6l, 536km, 12.9 km/l Tank 31=21.0l, 332km, 15.8 km/l *Tank 32=30.4l, 364km, 12.0 km/l I tried topping up at half tank instead of running down to see if the FC is better this way. Not too bad. Half tank @ 360km and getting 11.97km/l. As expected, 98 Malaysian fuel did nothing to improve the FC.

I have been using 98 so far for the past 1.5 mths since collected my car but due to the sky high price in petrol, my friend advised me to switch to 92 as my specs allows me to use 92. But just want to check with you if i change to 92, will it affect the performance and the FC?

No point wasting money on "power" you do not need. Remember 98 can be 30 cents more than 92! I think the specs for all Kia cars are 91 and above. Recently I came back from KL after visiting my relative. Pumped their 98 but felt no difference in speed or FC except the engine seems a little rougher... btw. my tank 31 and 32 are using malaysia Mobil 98. ( The 15km/l was due to continuous speed at 110k on NS highway.) cheers

Feel slight difference as compared to 98 in terms of acceleration. But as you said in S'pore, no point to spend on power which we don't need at all. Shall see how is it and i will update. Thanks.
