hello milkboy, all u need is to remove the piping and thermostat. Very difficult to explain in words though. But fore-warn, your A/C will be very cold becos the thermostat knob has becomes useless. In other words, you cannot regulate the cabin temp anymore. Even when you turn the knob to "red zone", cold air still comes into the cabin.

our A/C temp is regulated by mixing cold and hot air if remove u cannot set the temp u want any more and it wld be damn cold

Yes Freedom, u r quite right. But in a tropical weather like Singapore, you will experience more hot than cold. Usually I only need to select "1" when travelling during the nite or driving alone. Sometimes, i even use "1" even on full load especially during 4-5am going to JB/Kuantan. So far it has served me well, subjective though.

yup...the cold air is set to 6 deg celcius. Hence the thermostat is used to maintain this temperature and cutting off only if less than 6 deg. The heater on the other hand also generates a constant stream of hot air. By mixing these 2, you get the temperature you need. This is how it works on many continental cars. Kia is like this because their designs these days are skewed towards European standards rather than Japanese standard.
You can ask C&C to remove the heater during your servicing. But that would mean 6 deg air constantly being pumped into your cabin. I tried that on my old Spectra and its COLD! In the end I had to install a third party adjustable thermostat to regulate the cold air and bypass the built-in constant temp thermostat.

ha.. thanks bro airconvent for sharing your encounter think i will just stay as it is and perhaps shift the blower direction to other side then i wont feel the coldness so much hehe... Bro Picanto.. i read tht open window thou slight as long air flow in will caue the friciton and less aero dynamic as the air/wind push against yr car.. will cause more petrol neh.. i try tht b4 half my tank ended up travel 30km lesser...

As long as u travel lower than 100km/h, the air friction for less aero dynamic is very minimum. I did tis during my morning drive to work & mid nite off fr work. It does help to achieve better FC on my wife's V2 so as my picanto.
