Those with family, better get the ones that are more to comfort like B+G... My Intrax are quite hardy when going over expressway gaps... Especially the rear... Will put on the bump stop and see whether it counters the bumpy effect..

hi all. im new to this forum although been driving a cerato hatchback for 17mths now. checked with vtechware for eibach - stock comin ard 2 mths time price $440 without installation. fong kim says they doin h&r for cerato - stock comin mid jan 08 price ard $500 with installation + alignment. price for both almost same. the installation charge shld be ard $30 - $50 for most shops. does anyone noe if tein springs can be use on cerato? saw a fren of my fren's lancer using tein can clear bout 1 n half finger using 17" 45 low profile tires. damn nice. actually im quite comfortable if the springs can lower down bout 35mm(eibach's specs) for front coz im using 16" 50 size tires and stock bk for cerato sport edition. front bk already very bad condition. thought of changing a whole bumper but need to change the springs 1st but alot of shops no stock...... can anyone advise on which shops that have ready stock for the reputable brands? coz i need to change them fast by end of tis month latest. or else later money all finish by my wife... if can get below $400 better but max to spend bout $500 with installation. I don't think Tein have application for Cerato... Different brands have diff characteristics... Some are very low and some quite same with stock after installation... H&R is quite good for lowered looks and performance... BTW, ur fren's using Tein?? Is it a black Lancer..?? thx all for advise. my fren's ride is a white lancer.. looks like im goin to at performance to check it out. anyone got their address n contact no? will be changing this wed i guess. the faster the better..

just changed to apex springs at AT Perf. thx to bro kelvin for intro. more important, my honest verdict:- - pt: true enuf lowering not tat noticeable. cant expect drop like changing coilovers. + pt: handling very good. corner alot more stable. pick up less jerky when changing gears. up hump more stiff compare to original springs. for $400, really cant complain. apex springs got 9 coils and stock got 7 - forgot for front or rear. off topic:- anyone got lobang to do eye lid for cerato?

Bro ACE says his H&Rs clears two for front and one for rear... Same goes for mine... H&Rs quite ex though.. But its a reputable brand... Other than that, D2s??

I would prefer a more more noticeable lower ride as well. It seems only FK has stock for H&R springs now. Any bro can advise where else has stock for H&R and hopefully a recent quote?

i have stopped goin up the mscp coz even with my stock bk, front side wil touch the ground ocassionally on normal speed. last nite i did the sj-cai with jason so need to go up. when we're done, jason told me to test up n down slope. when goin down the 1st slope. i was at super slow speed but we all heard tat SCRRRAAAP sound. so after tat i went on goin down. 1st slope, HIT. 2nd slope HIT. 3rd slope & all the way down i steer extreme left then right to avoid the hit.
then i realised tat actually got lower lah. from the front, it looks really low. but if from the side, the gap from the wheels to the wheel arc is still big. now got 2 choice. change to bigger rims or custom a wide bodykit to reduce the size of the wheel arc.
h&r n eibach same spec - ard 45mm lowering. apex is only 30mm lowering. if a bro here once said that he changed to eibach & lowering is minimal, its true. 15mm dif wont be tat noticeable too. reason shld b bcoz he is using 16/50 wheels. if u ar using 17/45, then got a bit more lor. but coilovers can drop to even 85mm, so make ur choice.

Bro, if u wan noticeable lowered look ride den go for coilovers rather dan springs! Of cause coilover will be the best suspension solution, but $$ wise, not within my budget at the moment. would allocate my funds to braking system first. next in line after springs will be stainless steel brake hose, slotted disc and brake pads. No up-grade in calipers due to financial constrains again..

Thanks for the write-up. very informative and something to think about before installing the springs. if it is possible, can you take the measurement of the ground clearance of your front lip(e.g. distance between the base of front lip and the ground)?

sorry bros - h&r n eibach 35mm only. not 45mm. like tat if u using 16/50, can forget about the noticeable lowered look. those wif 17" can use 60 profile tyres. then 1 finger oso cant go in.. juz kidding...
