Hi EZ_S_ABC, does the QF makes your ride change gear at lower RPM? Meaning change gear faster instead of dragging & refuse to change to higher gear when acceralate... Please advise. Thank you.

I see... Mi just a small fry modder. Not the hardcore kind. Just willing to poison a little here and there to spruce up my ride. My poison can reverse the effect one. Wont kenna deep deep. Haha! Well..I hope so...but once u start,u juz can't stop!...even a little here and there still counts...

QF actually is main for those stock setup or with little mod (air in-take, plugs). It's the most direct way to improve ur car performance by juz over writting the datas of the ECU. If u'd done some hardcore mod like exos, P&P engine, high cam etc, better go for a Full Data Logged with dyno run then it'll b more accurate. But of course b4 Joey is gg to touch ur ECU, he'll normally ask wat had u done to ur ride then he'll fine tuned slightly as to suit ur ride. Yup that was what Joey told me over the phone too. That when i decided to go down during lunch that same day to have it done. Stock set-up or those with little mods.

Hi EZ_S_ABC, does the QF makes your ride change gear at lower RPM? Meaning change gear faster instead of dragging & refuse to change to higher gear when acceralate... Please advise. Thank you. I would say that b4 QF the gears could already change at either lower or higher rpm depending on how you acceralated from stationery position. And also how fast you wanted to move off or get going. It could all be in the mind but my take on the QF is that the car feels 'lighter', that would be how i would describe it. The rpm could climb faster when bf there was a sort of 'dragging'. But the rpm is still the same b4 and after QF as in travelling at speeds of 80km/h, 90km/h, etc... I dunno if i have given the exact answer that you are looking for ... if not my apologies.

Actually, looking at dollars savings - The diff in price bet 92 and 95 is very small as compared to the savings bet 92 and 98 or 95 and 98 which can be quite alot. As for FC, I can say tat it is very minimal. As for me, I tend to vary the octane I pump into my ride. Most of the time, if I pump in S'pore it will be 92. In M'sia , Petronas. Cheers!!

Accidentally deleted my earlier post instead of editing Yes! That's why my next fill will try 95 instead of my usual 92. To see if there are benefits after the QF as propsed by Joey. Cheers

Oh yes! There will be definitely be a liitle benefit in terms of lagtime when pressing the accelerator and also the FC. So which brand u intending to pump? Hee!

ok thks. it does seem like QF is an 'off the shelf' product, cant fine tune the mapping to suit our driving style. then again FDL is just too costly
