Hi fellow Ceratos,
I know that this is a typical question, but is there any really effective tools to improve the fuel consumption of the Cerato (A)? Mine varies at a miserable 9.0 ~ 10.5km/L.
Last month was trial-ing out the EPS (Efficient Power System) since it doesn't require any modification, but seemed like not effective at all. Eventually return back to the shop because of the 30days guarantee, charged me $20 for the installation. =(.
I am quite a conservative driver.. not speeding beyond 100km/hr most of the time, and reasonable footing I think.
Pls advise~

IMO, there's no such thing as fuel saving device other than ur right foot.. Start stop traffic and dragging the gears for too long will result in poor FC..

The main device is ur right foot. A/c oso play a part on it. If u off a/c during morning & evening drive, can achieve better FC oso. Try not to regulate ur a/c to the coolest .

Once the RPM is high, can release the accelarator so it will upshift... If not it will remain at that gear for a long period..

eh Bonzz your signature tak match SKC leh hahaha... regular servicing and ensuring correct tire pressure also plays a part, anticipate traffic flow and plan your route ahead of time, ensure air filter is clean also helps...

Wah! I like bro Siqma's sgcarmart article on ways to save petrol. It's all true and practical. Best way is to control ur right foot on accelerator. Start Slow and ride smooth. Cool!

Hmm.. guess the usual applies. Already did my best in not accelerating beyond 2.5krpm, even during move-off. Max speed ~100km/h even on a smooth road. Aircon usually only up one click, fan also on one click. Not possible to off aircon because of the air pollution in Tuas. Puhahah....
Attempted to use the spintronic.. but kinda clumsy with it.. so eventually went back to Auto gear.. haa....

the best is to use a 5W 20 engine oil. change your air filter every 10k. avoid jack rabbit starts. all these measures are cheaper than buying whatever fuel saving devices.

Try to adjust ur a/c coolest 3-4 click abv coolest pt during n turn to "max a/c" function during hot day. It should contribute slightly better FC. Hope tis help.

That is, as mentioned by a member here - remove the spare tyre and turn off your aircon when traveling in the night.

Bro, any idea where to get tat JDM liquid tyre patch repair kit? yups.. every saw at mustafa last year. Didn't go there for quite some time already so not sure if they still have. Don't forget to get an air pump too. No point if you can fix the flat but don't have air pressure in the tyre.
