icic.. initially saw 17" of GSD3 for $671 at autobac and thought it was cheap. then went on to check out workshop and was quoted $520! thinking of changing now as my tyres r already 3 yrs old... not sure if it has hardened... jemjem The famous Poh Heng sells 215/45ZR17 F1s at S$480 but shld be made in china since thai factory had a big fire and production of F1s shifted there. As Bro Zamorano had gotten the NT5000 at $360, I tink it's a steal and no harm trying since tyres are replaceable! Now PH selling at $520 for the Thai made F1 ones. The one from autobac also from Thai. Think they hav started the thai factory again.. thinking of RE001 as tyres can be use for abt 3 yrs ba.. if not too much diff then i will get the better. still hav not gotten any quote for tis set of tyres from PH. jemjem

just to share. i changed my latest tyre to hankook v4 from hawk tyre at southern city. 215/45/r17 4pcs for S$580. free balancing, alignment and high speed alignment. previously i am on yokohama aspec db, then goodyear revspec02 and now this. this hankook not bad......slightly noisier than aspec db but better wet grip than it. revspec too noisy but very good wet grip. so this hankook is well balance between quiet and wet grip. not bad deal considering it is made in korea too and the free alignment etc.

i know v4 was old model but i bought it because of its price. the tyre was manufactured late last year. before i bought in JB, i checked several shops (other models) and all costs at least S$180. the cheapest is falken (S$140 from ban hin) but made in indonesia...quiet but very poor grip. as JB also provided free alignment and high speed balance...so quite worth it if buy at JB. most importantly, i am very satisfied with its quiteness and grip.....
