applying the bitumen sheets to the wheel arc doesn't help much in the road noise.. it only help lessen the tiny stones flying up hitting the wheel well (the tic tiak tik tik tiak tiak tiak sound)
If your tyres are noisy, the sound can still be heard.

raod noise is really very hard to control especially on rough roads like some stretch of expressways. I haven't come across any solutions in the market that really solves this problem.. Most of the time they will recommend sound proofing the wheel arc, firewall, body(floor board and roof) and door, only with all these done will it help a bit but after driving for a while you will feel that your ride is still not quiet enough.
We can DIY the roof and door, it's rather easy as long as can get the roof trim out. Firewall is a little tricky and must have good back/ab muscles to do it. Floorboard, must know how to remove the seats and floor carpet. Usually take 1 morning to afternoon should be able to finish.
