Hi, I would like to find out does any bro here experiences drop in voltage when driving in the night with headlights, aircon and audio on??? At times it drop till 12.4V.
I have this problem, went back to C & C, did a diagnoss test, reading is fine with battery and alternator, they say my amp too hungry for power. I have a 10 F capacitor for my two amps, Pivot Voltage stabilizer with 5 points grounding. I asked my audio shop whether to change a higher amp battery will help, he can't promise me unless I also upgrade my alternator as well.

Weak alternator is the problem. Not sure if all ceratos are like that. I do suspect however that your amplifiers are either power hungry (Class A), inefficient or defective.
10F caps draw almost little current most of the time

Ya, maybe alternator is weak. I got one Rockford Monoblock and one Infinity amp.

did you change your flywheel? to a lightweight one?
Some after market wheels do not come in correct sizes and will under drive your alternator making your alternator drive 'weak'

didn't know flywheel got 'connection' wit alternator drive i should have called it the pulley aka 'lightweight crank pulley'. the alternator is driven by belts and pulleys. a change in pulley size will change the speed the alternator spins

I have ask advise from Whitesnail before, he explained to me that the light weight pulley will helps a bit in the belt turning process but in the long run, is not good. Because this is a cycle process. Light weight pulley on one side but the other side still the same weight. This will increase the wear and tear due to the imbalance of weight. Maybe he can give a better description.

Not to worry... Most probably the pulley u got is of the same size as the stock one.. Just the weight differs.. Besides, in order to see wear in the engine because of the pulley, by then the car would have been sold already.. I'm using one too..

Dun think it's ur ICE which caused the problem la. Unless u kena caught in heavy jam like causeway with full blast ur a/c + ICE . If ur pocket is deep enough, advise u try the "yellow top" batt. Those superb ICE car mostly using it.

The cheapest range of Optima yellow top starts fr $600+ (which i asked last time). It's a dry cell. Compare bk to normal Amaron or Varta, ratio is 1:4. So u decide lo...
