my first changed of brake pad was done on 40K....and was the rear side which has to be replaced Same here, got my rear brake pads replaced at about 30k but it was totally unneccessary. Was told then by C&C service centre that rear brake pads have worn off during normal servicing and it won't last until the next servicing. I didnt get them to replace though. Instead, I went to Ming Ghee to buy the parts and went to a workshop that I frequently patronise to replace. Total cost is about 2/3 the price of what C&C quoted in total. Was told by the car mechanic that the old brake pads can still last for quite while though as it's only used up around 50%...

Yes.... ask them to let you see the condition of your brake pad first and compare... especially like C & C... I insist of going into the workshop to watch them carry out servicing when I service my Spectra and 1st 2 time for my Cerato.... Their workmanship not so impressive....

Bro CWES88, wow I'm so surprise that stock cerato brake pads can last so long? Is it because its too hard to be wear off? Meaning braking not so good? My rear drum brakes seldom service too... dunno if the brake shoes are due for replacement too....

Dunno is it original or wat.... but the brakes serve me well! Btw rear one ask the mechanic to remove brake dust when servicing... and if needed.... ask them to adjust the spring 1st.
You must know how to compare brake pads, cos some workshop wanna make money and will advice the customer to change their brake pad...
