I fully agree that Korean car are much cheaper than Japanese car. So the body value would be low.
Think this way, if i buy a korean car, drive for 4 yrs dispose away & get another new car.
if i buy a japanese car, may have to drive up to 5yrs than can dispose.

Learnt this after speaking to many ppl online and doing some homework. Since your car is <5yrs old. PARF is calculated as follows: 75% of ARF (ARF is same value as OMV for your car) then add the remaining unused portion of COE: eg: 2 year old car = used up 2 years of COE, calculate 8/10 X COE). Add the 2 value up is your paper value or scrap value. Then for car body add about 1.5K to 3K depending on dealers' market, then from the following list add as required: auto transmission can ~1K more. Sunroof 0.5K (some will say sunroof no value cos water leak etc.. but when selling to new owner they add to the selling price, so it's subjective) Lousy paintwork/body, no maint: -0.5KMajor accident history: -0.5KBranded and expensive solar film : $0 DVD screen + high powered ICE: $0.1 to $0.2K engine performance mods: $0 My advise is to sell to another owner direct. Find out how to settle the bank loan and do car transfers yourself. It's not difficult at all. Selling to new owner, you get higher value for your vehicle, only thing is you have to go through the hassle of doing paper work. But please don't bother to sell at market prices, (almost) nobody's going to buy it at that price.
