Need to ask..My car already grounded at 5 points..shd be the usual points...done at workshop..Now, i tot of grounding another 5 points...can anyone tell me wat are these points?...maybe list out the whole 10 points..These 8 points are indicated on the grounding wire packaging..wats the other 2 tat can be grounded? Need to chk again which points hav already been grounded on my car.. 1) Cylinder head 2) Engine Block 3) CPU 4) Intake manifold 5) Alternator 6) transmission 7) Audio 8) head lamp 9) ? 10) ? Will do tis DIY together with my radiator hose replacement with my bro..

extractor- but heat maybe a problem.. since steel braided, worth to consider

Hmm...thanx for the ideas...still wondering...i copy the list frm the packaging...CPU means ECU??...How to connect?...

How would I know?? Our ECU is not at the engine bay to begin...

How would I know?? Our ECU is not at the engine bay to begin... Tat's why...Maybe referring to cars with ECU in engine bay?.. ...Sumtimes these Taiwan stuff very funny to read...Claim can 'Gain instant horsepower 8-12hp..'...juz by using this grounding... ...Like tat, i ground 50 points then can gain 80-120hp?...can fight Rex oready...

Just now examined my engine bay...and checked the 5 existing grounding points.. 1) TB (done) 2) Alternator (done) 3) Engine Block (done) 4) tranny (done) 5) cylinder head (not sure..which one?) 6) extractor (juz done..but wat benefit to ground extractor?) Was wondering..how to ground the headlamps, audio, ECU? ....Juz now stare and stare..in the end juz mount the grounding distributor and ground to the extractor...If I ground again those areas already grounded but to a different distributor..is tat OK?..Tis set of grounding i want to expose..my previous grounding all hidden...

Can.. No prob.... If no more idea, can do double grounding... But take note, ground metal parts only...

Headlamp? Maybe the inner part.. One each...

Headlamp? Maybe the inner part.. One each... Looks like I can only ground 1 headlamp..nearer to the distributor..coz none of the cables provided long enuff to reach the left headlamp...

Oh yes, u did connect it from the batt -ve terminal did u?

Oh yes, u did connect it from the batt -ve terminal did u? ...Is tat a must??...If so, then I hav to see if the longest cable can reach or not..

Heheheheh... Of cos lah... If not there's no effect at all... The current flow travels back to the batt and earth the current or known as grounding... And that metal plate with holes is for u to connect to the batt -ve terminal..

Thats why I wonder why on earth did u put that plate at the chassis.... Hehehe...

Thats why I wonder why on earth did u put that plate at the chassis.... Hehehe... Now I a bit confused.. ..As I said, my earlier grounding done by workshop, the plate is also not at the battery..It's sumwhere at the rear near the left suspension mount...I guess the mecahnic did a good job of concealing the 5 wires..Coz very hard for me to trace..all hidden..But I tink one of it go back to battery..coz at my battery, there's an additional wire at the positive... ...Oso, one of the earlier grounding is juz connected from the alternator to the chasis directly..more confused.... Don't tink i can mount it directly to the battery..So will see if the longest wire can reach the battery or not...Tink i need my bro to help me out on this..My electrical knowledge dam-n sucks...

All supply of current returns to the batt... And the neg terminal have an Earthing cable to 'kill' any live current to the chassis... If the grounding cables are not connected to the batt neg point... There's no earthing...

All supply of current returns to the batt... And the neg terminal have an Earthing cable to 'kill' any live current to the chassis... If the grounding cables are not connected to the batt neg point... There's no earthing... ...i consulted my bro and he explained to me about the basics of grounding...according to him, for best effect, the distributor shd be placed at the battery and all cables come back directly thru tis point and into the battery..the more connections direct to battery the better as the extra current can flow better wif lesser resistance..But due to space constraints and oso length of cables usually provided, it is somtimes not possible to route all the grounding cables directly back to battery..unless customised cables made to measure..anyway, I'm gg to meet him later and brainstorm where to connect the rest..also fixing strobe lights for reverse gear...

That is considered loop grounding... Much better than normal points grounding... BTW, strobed reverse light?? This was my final year project but can be activated during bad weather for improve visibilty by other drivers... But left the product in school... Perhaps scrapped by now...

This was my final year project but can be activated during bad weather for improve visibilty by other drivers... But left the product in school... Perhaps scrapped by now... ..my bro came over juz now and helped me out on the grounding..Took ur advice and decided to move the distributor plate to the batt -ve...now everything done and I muz say it looks neat and ...By disconneting the batt, my ECU oso reset..my check light gone (shd be temporary only)...drove to airport to fetch wife and can feel some difference..not sure due to enhanced grounding or due to ECU reset...or psychological.. ...Still need to tidy up a bit more using cable ties.. Strobe light no time to do yet...maybe tmrw nite..

Damn, your grounding looks neat!! Hahaha, woah doing strobe light arh?? Thanx..looks cool exposed like dat..my previous grounding all hidden until I oso dunno where... ..Still need to tidy up the cables with a cable tie technique tat acts as a neat cable separator using big and small cable ties....I learnt it frm a car mag..quite useful.. ..Anyway, I grounded 5 points..some repeat..alternator, TB, fuel rail, engine block and extractor.. As for strobe lights, using those not meant for car type..my bro fixed on his Avante..flashes when in reverse gear..quite cool..like aeroplane beacon lights..good warning for pple behind oso.. ;D
